We read 31 currently-open recruiter postings and counted what they name. Below: the requirements, then a worked example measured against them.

A worked demonstration — written by us, not a real person's résumé. It covers 6 of the 19 things those postings ask for most, so you can see the shape of an answer rather than take our word for it.

What a recruiter résumé has to show

  1. Number of open requisitions carried at once
  2. Hires per year and time to fill in days
  3. Role types and seniority you filled, named
  4. ATS you worked in and your sourcing channel mix

Bullets you can adapt

Every one names a system or a surface, a change, and a number. Take the shape, not the figures — substitute your own and keep them defensible.

  • Carried 18 live requisitions at a time and made 64 hires in a year across engineering and sales
  • Cut average time to fill from 61 days to 38 by pre-screening with a structured 20-minute call
  • Sourced 71% of hires directly through LinkedIn Recruiter, reducing agency spend by €190k a year
  • Improved offer acceptance from 74% to 91% after introducing a written compensation conversation at first interview
  • Filled 9 senior engineering roles that had been open more than 5 months before handover
  • Ran a structured interview rollout with 40 hiring managers, cutting interview-to-offer ratio from 7:1 to 4:1
  • Built a talent pool of 1,200 qualified candidates in Greenhouse that produced 14 hires without new sourcing

And the ones to cut

These are duties and adjectives. They describe a job title, not a person doing it.

  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Sourced candidates through various channels and job boards
  • Passionate about finding the right talent for the right role

Recruiter résumé questions

Agency or in-house, does the CV differ?

Yes, substantially. Agency recruiters should lead with placements, fees billed and client count, in-house recruiters with requisition load, time to fill and hiring manager relationships. If you are moving agency to in-house, translate billings into hires and add stakeholder detail, otherwise you read as a salesperson to a talent team.

Should I list the roles I filled?

Always, and be specific. Backend engineers at senior level and warehouse operatives at volume are opposite skill sets, and a recruiter who says all levels and functions is assumed to have done neither well. Name the two or three families where you have real depth.

Does source-of-hire data help?

It is one of the strongest signals you can put on a recruiting CV. A direct sourcing rate with the agency spend it displaced proves you can build pipeline instead of forwarding applicants. Put the percentage and the euro figure in the same bullet.

Start from this example, then make it yours.
